Karen DeChellis

SVP, Director of Mortgage Operations Retail

Karen brings over 20 years’ experience in the mortgage lending industry. She has held several different positions within both Wholesale and Retail channels including Processing, Inside Sales and Management and has also served as an Account Executive. She joined GHMC in 2020 from Franklin American Mortgage Company (Citizens Bank) where she was responsible for creating the best experience for brokers and mini correspondents. Karen worked with Account Executives across the country and helped them grow their business in each respective marketplace.  She was responsible for engineering processes that helped create a streamlined third party experience.  Prior to her tenure at FAMC, Karen served as an Account Executive and Operational Sales Liaison at MetLife Home Loans for four years. She is a graduate of Clarion University with a degree in Speech Communication and is a current member of the Mortgage Brokers Association.

She believes opening doors to homeownership is one of the most treasured aspects a family can share. Focusing on strong customer service daily drives her to help her clients achieve their goals of finding a home. While she has spent the majority of her career living in Pittsburgh, PA, Karen recently relocated to Nashville, TN with her family and looks forward to making Tennessee her new home.
