Sarah Hilmes

In January 2023, Sarah Hilmes joined the retail division of Guaranty Home Mortgage Corporation, as part of its expansion efforts into East, TN. Sarah presently serves as the Chattanooga based, Assistant Vice President, where she leads a team of mortgage professionals. 

Prior to her current role, Sarah achieved great success with her management position at Bank of England Mortgage and Senior Loan Officer role with Peoples Home Equity. Year after year, she is recognized by her peers, employers, and the Chattanooga Mortgage Bankers Association as a top producer and rising star in management. 

Before mortgage lending, Sarah started her finance career as a teller and personal banker. From there, she fell in love with the mortgage origination field. This position affords Sarah the opportunity to exhibit her high level of passion and love for all things consumer advocacy.  Anyone that knows Sarah will tell you that she leads with her heart! She is committed to her referral sources and consumers in a dynamic manner.

One little fact – Sarah once had the yearning desire to pursue her love for a career in fashion. But life obviously had a different direction. Now, fashion is a hobby in which she occasionally shares in her own personal style through photography and a blog site. 

Born in Rochester, NY, Sarah has thrived personally and professionally as a resident of Chattanooga since 2001. Sarah married her high school sweetheart, Jacob. They have a son together, Reign. In their spare time, they enjoy weekend trips and adventuring to new places; the beach is Sarah’s happy place.
